Just a little note here: history is not static. It is constantly changing as new information is revealed. The older the history, the less accurate the information. We can talk all we want to about causes of the American Revolution, the Civil War, World War II, etc. but those causes will always be changing - especially because historians are people: fallible and biased. Even the people who lived through the time in question will differ as to the causes; people's perceptions are individual and personal. That's why history is an art, not a science. Ask any history teacher!
